Advancing inclusive and climate-resilient WASH in Sindh
WaterAid Pakistan convened a high-level policy dialogue on “Advancing gender-responsive and inclusive climate-resilient WASH infrastructure,” bringing together women leaders, persons with disabilities, youth, community representatives, and government officials to strengthen inclusive WASH services across Sindh.
The dialogue featured Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Local Government & HTP, Sindh, as Chief Guest, alongside MPAs, policymakers, and technical experts including Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Shaikh, Chairman of HANDS Welfare Foundation. The forum enabled direct engagement between communities and duty-bearers to drive sustainable, people-centred solutions. The panel discussion, moderated by Ms. Aseela Abdullah, highlighted key barriers and opportunities for inclusive WASH in health care facilities, schools, and public spaces, reaffirming a shared commitment to equity, resilience, and community-led action.
