Youth a treasure in Pakistan

Young population empowerment is a process wherein it is desired that children and young people mentally prepare themselves to develop the skills and abilities required to succeed in different walks of life. They need to build self-belief and pledge to their proficiencies. They should nurture relationships and networks to enjoy their support and opportunities.

As per the World Health Organization’s definition of youth (15–24 years), this age group makes up a sizable share of Pakistan’s population. According to estimates, between 27 and 29 percent of Pakistan’s population is classified as the WHO young, making them a sizable demographic group that might support the social and economic advancement of the nation.

The concept of empowerment is the process of obtaining basic opportunities for marginalized people. We studied five types of empowerment; individual, social, educational, economic, psychological, and physical. This youth bulge highlights the importance of investing in education, employment opportunities, and engagement platforms to harness their potential effectively.

The experts suggest some ways to support the youth to ensure their enablement. It is unanimously understood that the young generation enjoys the precious latent for building a brighter future for our country through state-of-the-art thoughts and endless energy waiting to be directed positively. Young girls and boys should be encouraged to get the required education and develop essential skills in their area of interest to achieve ultimate success. The mentoring serves as a foundation for personal and professional growth among young people seeking a course toward success in life’s expedition. The youth need to have safe spaces for their expression. Expression of ideas and emotion, without any hesitation and fear. We should encourage them to learn communication skills and develop decision-making powers. This leads to developing leadership skills necessary for their future success.

The youth are combating multifaceted challenges to groom themselves for success and a bright future. Among all are the political instability, deficiency of political commitment, investors’ trust in the country’s policies, social justice and human rights, peacebuilding and conflict resolution, and a safe platform for them for fearless expression.

Digital technology is a refreshing breeze, in the realm of social networks and a remarkable opportunity for growth and success. After acquiring the required skills in digital technology, one can earn as much as they wish. They will also change the lives of their dependents. Social media is a good platform for grooming and earning money if used positively. This will not only lead to the good financial health of a person but will also contribute significantly to the financial & economic growth of the country.
