The NGOs work with proper planning to handle the challenges of the society in a way that eliminates problems rather than increasing them.

HANDS

HANDS stands for Health And Nutrition Development Society. It is included in the list of the leading non-profit organizations in Pakistan that works towards just one aim to aid the poor by helping them through health improvement, promotion of education, alleviation of poverty, building infrastructure, and development of social institutions. These tasks performed by the team of HANDS on daily basis add up to community empowerment.

HANDS started its journey in 1979 with public health services in Karachi as health and nutrition project under the enlightening guidance of the Sitara-e-Imtiaz holding Prof. A. G. Billoo. In 1993 the organization got registered with the vision of Healthy, Educated and Prosperous Pakistan. Now HANDS aims to develop 25,000 model communities across Pakistan by 2030.

Edhi Foundation

Edhi foundation has been a prominent name in the list of the biggest and oldest beneficiary foundation of Pakistan. Edhi foundation is rightfully worthy of such a position amongst the society for they work tirelessly as the non-commercial, non-political, and as non-communal entity.

The foundation of the Edhi Foundation was laid by the Late Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi with support of his wife Mrs. Bilquis Edhi. Effective on both national and international platforms, Edhi Foundation has been contributing towards the society for years and is still at it.

Saylani Welfare Trust

Sarim Burney Welfare Trust

Aga Khan Foundation
