We were honored to host delegates from the Gates Foundation —Sylvia Lin, Christina Samaha, Kaleigh Mac Daniels, Amy Kenington and Mustafa Bajwa—for a strategic visit focused on family planning initiatives, led by Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, CEO of HANDS Foundation.
Mr. Qamar Shaikh, Chief Health & MEAL Executive, and Dr. Kehkashan Azeem, Project Lead & Advisor Health, along with the PIU team, presented the project’s progress and demonstrated the Marvi Model’s implementation and impact.
The delegation observed the model in action and participated in insightful discussions on expanding contraceptive choices—particularly scaling up self-injectables—while emphasizing demand generation and supply chain strengthening to improve reproductive health outcomes in underserved communities.
