HANDS has built over 90,000 disaster resilient shelters in the past 12 years, and they have stood well even in the super floods of 2022. Local raw material is used in the mixture with lime to make these mud houses. They stay intact even if the water stays for over 2 months, while being low cost, durable, culturally sensitive, and environment friendly.
Help us scale this resilient technology throughout Pakistan and build the adaptive capacity of communities for future climate shocks.
