To make these times of crisis a little easier for children, HANDS established 10 Child Friendly Spaces at District Larkana. In these spaces, flood affected children were provided with social and psychological support through counselling. We also conducted mental health activities as well as pictorial, educational, and awareness sessions for children on VENA (Violence Exploitation Neglect and sexual Abuse). We talked about how to prevent from every harmful practices during the traumatic situations as well as the normal circumstances, while parents were also being sensitised.
