Chairman HANDS, Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed, was part of a Karachi delegation of NGOs and industrialists visiting Gwadar, hosted by the Pakistan Navy.

Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed, Chairman of HANDS, was privileged to be part of a high-level delegation comprising Karachi-based NGOs and industrialists on a visit to Gwadar. The visit was hosted by Coastal Commander Rear Admiral Faisal Amin of the Pakistan Navy. The delegation departed from PNS Mehran, near the PAF Museum, boarding a Naval ATR aircraft. After a scenic flight of approximately one hour and fifteen minutes along the Balochistan coastline, they landed at the newly constructed Gwadar International Airport.
During the visit, the delegation toured a Chinese-built hospital, an RO (Reverse Osmosis) water plant, and participated in a ration and water distribution activity. They were also briefed on the ongoing development of Gwadar Port, visited the newly built Chinese five-star hotel, and concluded the tour with a naval boat ride around the port area.
